Oshkosh United is committed to providing an opportunity for player's to participate in youth soccer in the safest environment possible. The decision chart below has been created to provide United families with information on what the club's expectations are for player participation based upon various scenarios. Vaccination status will be a large factor in deciding the required course of action.  

If you have any questions regarding our covid protocols, do not hesitate to email covid@oshkoshunited.com. If a player does test positive for covid-19 or if they are notified that they are a close contact fo someone that has tested positive they should email covid@oshkoshunited.com. 

 

COVID-19 Decision Chart

Scenario Vaccination Status Resulting Action
Player tests positive for COVID-19 Vaccinated or unvaccinated
  • Quarantine for 10 days from the onset of symptoms or the positive test result if asymptomatic. 
Player has COVID-19 symptoms Vaccinated or unvaccinated
  • Player should be tested for COVID-19
  • Player should not attend any trainings or games until the test results are received
  • If the test result is negative, the player can resume attendance at practices and games. 
  • If the test result is positive, the player should begin their quarantine period of 10 days since the onset of symptoms. 
Player is identified as a close contact with another person at school.  Vaccinated
  • Player can continue to attend practices and games.
  • Player should monitor for COVID-19 symptoms. If symptoms do develop, email covid@oshkoshunited.com. 
Player is identified as a close contact with another person at school.  Unvaccinated
  • Take a PCR covid test at least three days after the last date of contact with the person that tested positive. 
  • The player can continue to attend practices and games but they should wear a mask at all practices and games until the test results are back. 
  • If the results are negative, the player can return to practices and games (no mask required). 
  • If the results are positive, begin the 10 day quarantine process outlined above. 
Player is a close contact to a family member at home.  Vaccinated
  • Continue to attend practices and games and monitor for symptoms. 

Player is a close contact to a family member at home.

Unvaccinated
  • Quarantine for 14 days after the last contact with the person that tested positive. Players are not able to return before the 14 days with a negative covid test result. 
Player has a household member that is awaiting COVID-19 test results.  Unvaccinated
  • The player should wear a mask at all practices and games until the household member's test results are available. 
  • If negative, the player can continue to attend practices and games (mask not required). 
  • If positive, follow the protocol listed above which varies based upon vaccination status.
