United Soccer Families, I am excited to announce that Oshkosh United is adding game recording/analysis to our Select and Elite teams!! United has purchased a Veo camera which is an automated camera that films the entire field at once using two 4K lenses. After the game the footage is uploaded to the Veo servers and artificial intelligence is used to splice the footage together to create a video that follows the play. Families can watch the video on the Veo platform. Check out this video for an overview of Veo and a brief introduction to the Veo online platform that is used to watch the game film: https://youtu.be/to-d4PWgPLU . Below are a few notes about Veo: At this point, we have 10 "teams" on the Veo platform. Age groups that have multiple teams will all be in the same account. Videos of the games will be titled with the team name and the date of the game. We currently have one Veo camera. We will create a schedule for this spring to get as many games filmed as possible. If this goes well and families want more games filmed we can look at purchasing additional Veo cameras to increase the number of games we can record. Families have the ability to be in a "view only" account or an "edit" account. Families with an edit account have the ability to clip footage and download it. All U11-U14 players will be provided a "view" account and all U15 and older players will be provided an "edit" account. We have always strived to create a positive culture that fosters player development. Especially with younger players (U11/U12), please avoid spending long periods of time analyzing game film. Those age groups should be focusing more on skill development so spending a large amount of time being critical of play could quickly lead to a poor experience for a youth player. More info will be coming at the spring meeting on April 10th and I'll send a few updates as well as we get closer to the season. If you have any questions just let me know! Matt
